The Horsham Democratic Committee brings together like-minded residents of Horsham who want the best for our community, our state, and our country. Generally we believe in progressive politics. But we represent a range of opinions. Our mission is simple:

Voter Education

• Meeting voters and sharing information on candidates and issues
• Making voters aware of key issues facing the Township and the Commonwealth like the future of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station and drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale
• Answering questions from voters and providing feedback to candidates on topics of concern to voters
• Helping voters navigate government programs and departments

Voter Turnout

• Voter registration efforts
• Helping voters apply for absentee ballots
• Get Out the Vote efforts prior to Election Day with reminders on Election Day
• Coordinating efforts with national, state, and local candidates to maximize the value of all voter contacts
• Greeting voters at the polls to answer and questions and ensure they have the information they need when voting
• Helping to staff the polls to ensure a smooth and well-run election

The Township faces significant challenges in the coming years. It’s time for all of us to get engaged in local issues to make sure all voices and perspectives are heard. The biggest local issue that will impact us for years to come is the future of Willow Grove and how the land at the base and the surrounding area will be developed. For too long local politics has been practiced largely in secret. It’s time to shed light on decision-making so that we all benefit from future development and plan effectively to minimize the risk of higher tax burdens, traffic, waste, and other problems It’s easy to get involved and make your voice heard.
