In January, Women’s March Philadelphia will demonstrate once again the solidarity of Philadelphians with women around the world in opposing policies and practices which are discriminatory, divisive and non-inclusive, be they in the boardroom, the media, the political arena, or in everyday life.

To succeed in this promise it will take more than a march, it will take sustained effort. On January 23rd, Organizing Night for Women and Allies, sponsored by the Horsham Democratic Committee (HDC), offers an opportunity for women and allies to learn how to take the next step, in the political arena, toward making good on the promise of action made by the Women’s March.

Join local women from Horsham who are now engaged in the political arena, as they discuss the challenges they face and the triumphs they have achieved:

• Veronica Hill-Milbourne, recently elected to Horsham Town Council
• Julie Kollar, Executive Director, Montgomery County Democratic Committee (MCDC)
• Maria Collett, Candidate, Pennsylvania Senate 12th District
• Sara Rothman Johnson, Candidiate, Pennsylvania House 151st District
• Molly Sheehan, Candidate, U.S. Congress, 7th District
• Valerie Arkoosh, Chair, Montgomery County Board of Commissioners
