Inside Poll Worker

Election Day couldn't be run successfully without the hard work of volunteers who are both elected and assigned. Some of the jobs include Judge Of Election (commonly referred to as a JOE), Majority and Minority Inspectors, Clerk and Machine Operator. If your precinct already has elected officials for these roles, they may already be fully staffed but your assistance may be needed in another precinct that is not fully staffed. Montgomery County Voter Services, along with the precinct JOE, handles the scheduling of assigned poll workers. The county has recently begun reaching out to elected officials and those who have served in the role most recently during the primary.

If you'd like to be an inside Poll Worker, and if you haven't done so already, please submit a Pennsylvania Poll Worker Interest Form, regardless of whether or not you have previously worked inside.

We at the Horsham Democratic Committee can assist with your questions and somewhat with scheduling, but as mentioned above, the formal sign-up happens through the County. Poll worker training will be offered by the County. Reach out to [email protected] if you have questions about signing up or the roles.

Thank you for helping to ensure free and fair elections in our community!
