The Montgomery County Voter Services certified the results of our 2023 General Election on December 4th!

All four of our candidates for School Board; Denise (DJ) Schultz, Theresa Brown, Susan Hunsinger-Hoff, and David Brown, were re-elected for another 4-year term. It was a contentious race with much misinformation and falsehoods. In the end, it was fact, not fear, that won. The newly re-elected School Board members were sworn in by our PA Representative Melissa Cerrato on Monday, November 27th.

After close to a month of tabulating, we are also thrilled to share that both our candidates, Sam Slaff and Ellen Zschunke, were successful in their bids to serve as Horsham's next Township Councilwomen. We believe this is the first all-female slate to win and the first Democratic slate to sweep our Republican opponents.

The post-election day process was truly an education in our democratic procedures.

Final totals were:

• Sam Slaff - 4,106
• Ellen Zschunke - 4,010
• Mark McCouch - 3,999
• Stephen Van Horn - 3,849

The new Township Councilwomen will be sworn in by our PA Representative Melissa Cerrato and Judge Todd Stevens on Tuesday, January 2nd at 7:00 pm. at the Township Municipal Building. We sincerely hope that you can all come to celebrate this momentous occasion along with the candidates and their families.
