Become a Poll Worker - 25

We have been notified by Montgomery County Voter Services that anyone planning to run to serve as a JOE (Judge of Election) or Inspector or be appointed to another inside poll worker role must follow PA Election Code which states “No person shall be qualified to serve as an election officer who shall hold, or shall within two months have held, any office, appointment, or employment in or under the Government of the United States or of this State or of any city or county or poor district, of any municipal board, commission or trust in any city.”
What does that all mean? Inside poll workers can’t be elected officials, government employees, or appointed members of any municipal boards, commissions, or authorities.
Who can run? Anyone else - if you need support navigating how to run to help support our polling locations on election day, please reach out to [email protected]
Planning to run for JOE or Inspector? Here are all the directions: https://www.montgomerycountypa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/49052/2025-JOE-and-IOE-Packet
